Plastic Injection Molding Services

Lyetek runs custom plastic injection molding for OEMs — from a single tool and a pilot run through to repeat production on 75–850 ton presses in Guangdong, China. Send a 3D model and a 2D drawing; you get back a DFM review, a tooling price and a piece price in one reply.

From drawing to shipment

  1. DFM review. We check draft, wall thickness, gate position, cooling layout and warp before tooling is quoted — so the problems are solved on screen, not on the press.
  2. Tooling. Mold design, 3D machining, EDM, wire cutting and polishing are all done in-house, which keeps lead time and tolerances under one roof.
  3. Sampling. First trial shots come with a dimensional report, so you can inspect against your own drawing before anything ships.
  4. Validation. We adjust steel, gate or cooling until the part holds tolerance and the cosmetic appearance matches the sample you approved.
  5. Production. Repeat runs on hydraulic direct-clamp machines for uniform clamp force and stable moulding.
  6. Finishing and packing. Sub-assembly, printing and retail-ready or export packing to your instruction.

Materials we run every week

Commodity grades are easy to source anywhere. The reason buyers send us parts is the awkward end of the list: glass-filled polyamides that wear a mould out, PC/ABS blends where colour consistency decides whether the part ships, TPU over-molding where two materials have to bond on the first shot, and flame-retardant or food-contact grades that need the paperwork to match the pellet bag.

Tell us the grade you want and we will confirm availability before we quote. If a substitute would save you money without changing the part, we will say so.

Quality and documentation

  • First-article inspection against your 2D drawing, before production starts
  • Dimensional reports on request, with the measured points marked on the drawing
  • In-process checks through the run, not only at the end
  • 100% visual inspection on cosmetic and visible parts
  • Material and colour traceability from the pellet bag to the carton
  • Packing audit before the container is loaded

Frequently asked questions

What do you need from me to quote?

A 3D file (STEP or IGES), a 2D drawing with tolerances, the material or a performance requirement, the surface finish, and the annual volume. If the drawing is not finished, send the 3D model and tell us where it has to fit — we will quote from that.

Can you quote tooling and parts together?

Yes, and that is usually the clearer way to compare suppliers. We separate the one-time tooling cost from the piece price so you can see what you pay once and what you pay per part.

Do you run small quantities?

We run pilot and bridge quantities from a single tool, and production volumes afterwards. Larger annual volumes make the tooling easier to justify, but they are not a condition for quoting.

Who owns the mold?

You do, if you are paying for it. Mold drawings, 3D data and the physical tool can be transferred to you or to another molder at any time. We will say this in writing before the order starts.

How do you protect our design?

We work under NDA and do not publish customer parts, names or drawings. Any parts we photograph for our own records are photographed without logos or identifying marks.
